Okay, so we wanted to go big with our first top 5 post…in fact, we wanted to go very big. Water Features come in all shapes and sizes so we thought we would focus our first post on, what we feel, is the world’s biggest and best water features. Let’s not waste any more time, here are our top 5!
Number 5 – Archibald Fountain, Sydney
Yes, we are a little bias but we just couldn’t resist including the breathtaking Archibald Fountain in our very own Sydney, Australia. With a beautiful castle style background, clean flowing water and turtles which spurt water out of their mouth, what isn’t there to like!
Number 4 – Bellagio, Las Vegas
Most people have either been to Vegas already or dream of going to Las Vegas. It has not shortage of eye popping items to have a gander at whilst you are in town but given we love all things water we just had to include the world famous Bellagio water features. It has different patterns and colours which display according to a pre-set theme and you could easily sit and stare at it for hours. 5 stars!
Number 3 – Merilon Front, Singapore
The Merilon Front may not be as well known as the Bellagio but its impressive water feature is just as spectacular. Imagine the amount of force that must be behind that water stream to make it shoot out so far. Again, bring a comfy chair because you could sit and stare at this one all day.
Number 2 – Horace Dodge, Michigan
If you love the sound of gushing water than this is the water feature for you. It is as beautiful as it is scary but none the less it is highly entertaining. For those who love their camera you could have a heap of fun with this water feature, slowing down motion for a creamy water flow, or speeding up your shutter speed to freeze the water as it falls.
Number 1 – 71 Fountain, Ohio
What can we say about our number 1 chosen water feature other than, we love it! It is a marvel of design brillance and is just amazing to see. It looks so simple but is so inspiring and visually appealing at the same time.
